Research: Opening titles and credits

The opening titles for Saw are shown under a green filter and this creates a very eerie effect is shows the audience that it is a horror and also by the items shown on the screen you can see there will be some sort of twist to the story.
The font that is used for the text is very creepy and again shows the genre of the film to the audience.


The opening titles are used to introduce the actors, production team and directors.

This is the opening credits for Saw and this is showing the name of the production company.

Horror iconography is used with the barbed wire around the name to help show the horror genre to the audience.

There is also more horror iconography used when the stake comes down through the words.
